The EPUAP have long held the view that small scale research projects should be undertaken by the group and reported in the scientific literature and at EPUAP conferences. With unrestricted educational grants from EPUAP sponsors the EPUAP has been able to complete several initiatives:
- collection of pressure ulcer prevalence data across several European countries
- description of the effect of pressure ulcers upon quality of life
- a specific clinical practice guideline upon nutrition and pressure ulcers
- creation of a textbook covering all aspects of pressure ulcer aetiology, prevention and management
Details of some of these projects can be accessed from this page.
